Wonderful
This hotel is well located in New Town, close to the airport tram stop and many restaurants.
Breakfast is provided at the restaurant across the street. The food is delicious but made to order, not a buffet. You really need to plan ahead and get there right when they open if you have an early appointment.

Ok stay and great location, but overpriced.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was great. Breakfast was fantastic! The rooms were good in size.
The rooms would need an update, especially the carpet. The carpet didn't look quite clean and so did some towels we got. The bed was quite narrow for the two of us.

Excellent location for visiting the city. Clean and comfortable room, well maintained.
This property is in an ideal location for exploring the city. A simple but very clean and well maintained room, cleaned daily with everything required for a comfortable stay in Edinburgh.
On our return early on both evenings of the full days of our stay neither of our keycards worked on the door to our room and we had to go back down to reception to get replacements. This would have just passed as a mere irritation but was made irksome by the fact that both times we were met with an accusation that we were somehow to blame for this; we must have had the cards in the same pockets as our phones, the key was inserted the wrong way or some other reason it was our fault and not perhaps a fault of the key technology or maybe the cleaning staff accidentally resetting the key or some other reason that was absolutely none of our concern. Instead of being berated and made to feel like we were the inconvenience and a favour was being bestowed upon us by being given replacement keys, a simple apology to paying guests on these occasions would have been far more mannerly for something that clearly wasn’t our fault.
